I believe therapy works best when it is a collaborative process, meaning you are the foremost expert in yourself. I am a Licensed Social Worker with an MSW from Columbia University, and have been working in the mental health field for seven years. During this time I have worked in psychiatric hospitals, school systems, and a college counseling center. I have experience providing support to people struggling with depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, stress and life dissatisfaction, low self-esteem, as well as grief and loss. My practice is informed by a cognitive-behavioral background, though each session is tailored to the individual. In working with me, you can expect a warm and authentic, strengths based approach. I am a firm believer that although therapy is hard work, there will be humor and levity along the way.
