Psychodynamic Approach

Our clinician’s focus on the unconscious processes and how they are currently manifesting in your behavior. The goal here is self-awareness and an understanding of how the past influences your present behaviors and issues in life.

This approach helps to examine unresolved conflict and symptoms arising from dysfunctional relationships, and how this causes problems in our everyday lives. Psychodynamic therapy examines how our behavior and feelings are affected by our unconscious thoughts. It also looks at how our feelings as adults are rooted in our childhood experiences.

Psychodynamic therapy also uses dreams as a key to our unconscious, and what they reveal about our current thoughts. According to this approach, trauma in childhood is responsible for a majority of our habits, fears and negative patterns of behavior.
